One Sunday afternoon during Advent I was roaming through the tunes in The Cyber Hymnal, just listening, with no particular aim other than to find something joyful.  As I listened to this melody the exclamation, "Praise the Lord, for He has come", started to repeat itself in my head.  

The story of the gospels is overflowing with reasons for us to praise God for his grace, his mercy, and his love.  That love comes to us through the birth, the life, the suffering, the death,and the resurrection, of Jesus.  We can surely praise him today, tomorrow, and for eternity, for he sits on God's right hand, pleading our cause - our advocate and our redeemer.

Yes, we should praise the Lord, for He has come and is gone before us, leaving us a certain hope for the future.
