Born To Love
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Â Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. Â This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. Â This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Â Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. Â No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

The poem "The Creation" by James Weldon Johnson (God's Trombones, 1927) is a favourite of mine. Â It depicts God, after creating the rest of the universe; though an act of love, making man to relieve His loneliness, to be His companion. Â God has loved us from the beginning, even through our rebellion. Â Once we fully accept the gift of his love it seems that it is almost impossible to avoid returning that love through worship, praise and deeds that honour Him.
May we love and show His love to the world,
