O how often we get angry, frustrated, and discouraged by the way our world seems to function!  Even those closest to us let us down and provoke us.

The news stories of the day list disaster after disaster.  People behave with little or no regard for how their actions injure or offend others.  Good people suffer unjustly and those who act unjustly seem to prosper. Most of all, when we examine our own motives and actions, we find that we must include ourselves amongst the worst offenders.

At these times Paul's words to his friends at Philippi at the close of his letter bring reassurance and strength.

May we feel God's peace welling up in our hearts as we think of all the good God has done and is still doing in our lives.
